Two Businesswomen Partner to Bring LuXury Massage to the “Stressed” Community

MassageLuXe, a fast-growing luxury spa franchise, announces the opening of its newest spa. This is MassageLuXe’s first location in the Washington, D.C. area, with seven locations in Virginia and over 70 nationwide.

Located at 609 H Street N.E., the new MassageLuxe location is now open to customers in the D.C. area. The MassageLuXe spa is owned by local businesswomen Rosalyn Brown and Danielle McLean. Both new to franchising, Brown and McLean are excited to join forces as business partners for this new venture.

“Massages are not considered a luxury anymore, and that’s one reason we opened this business,” said McLean. “They have now become part of our wellness regiment, and in this fast-paced city where everyone is overscheduled and stressed, we are extremely excited to bring this great massage option to our neighborhood.”

McLean says MassageLuXe was the perfect fit for them, because the brand radiates high-end luxury. Since this is Brown and McLean’s first franchise, they were seeking strong corporate support and guidance. They soon found the corporate team extremely helpful every step of the way, from site selection to opening day.

MassageLuXe President and CEO, Mark Otter, has a mission of growing the company to more than 250 locations in the next five years.  The opening of a spa in our nation’s capital was a specific goal and will pave the way for expansion in other key markets.
