MassageLuXe Experiences Impressive Multi-Unit Growth
Nation’s Fast-Growing Spa Franchise Leverages Existing Franchisees
July 10, 2023 // Franchising.com // ST. LOUIS, Mo. - MassageLuXe, the fast-growing massage and spa franchise delivering the highest standard of services in the membership-based massage, facial, and waxing industry, continues its growth with the signing of several franchise development agreements to add 20+ new locations to its development pipeline across several key target markets over the next six months. This growth is propelled by new franchisees entering the brand but also matched with the brand's existing franchisees. Existing franchisees are set to expand the brand's presence in Texas, Colorado, Michigan, Tennessee, and Indiana. The growth within the brand’s existing franchisee base showcases the promising opportunity the concept provides and how well it resonates within each market it enters.
"As we accelerate our growth across the nation, we are thrilled to expand our partnership with these seasoned multi-unit operators who embody the very essence of the MassageLuXe vision and values," affirms Mark Otter, the esteemed CEO of MassageLuXe. "This exemplifies the thriving potential within the MassageLuXe franchise family, and we are so proud of these owners for their continued dedication and contribution to our brand’s success."
A few of the franchisees leading the MassageLuXe multi-unit developments include:
- Steve and Margo Allison – The powerhouse couple just opened the doors to their seventh MassageLuXe location – this time in Littleton, Colorado. The couple, who has been with the brand since 2010, also owns a location in Denver as well as five MassageLuXe spas in the St. Louis market.
- Rahul and Haritha Kommineni – After experiencing MassageLuXe from a client perspective, the Komminenis knew they wanted to be owners. Now they are about to open their fifth location in Fishers, Indiana. Other locations include Indianapolis and Carmel, Indiana, and Edwardsville and Springfield, Illinois.
- Kyle and Stephanie Attarian – With the tremendous growth in and around Nashville, it wasn’t long before the Attarians sought a second MassageLuXe location to keep up with the local demand. As they prepare to open their second location in Franklin, Tennessee, in July, they are also considering a third spa.
- Reuben Levy – A lifelong entrepreneur, Levy can spot a good business opportunity better than anyone. He quickly expanded his MassageLuXe franchise from one to three spas in the Detroit-area suburbs. He plans to open a fourth location in Rochester Hills, Michigan, in August.
These announcements build on the strong development success currently underway at MassageluXe.
With a total of 79 units, this growth will catapult the brand over the 100-unit milestone - something only 16% of franchise brands achieve,” adds MassageLuXe Chief Growth Officer Kristen Pechacek.
Founded in 2008 in St. Louis, Missouri, the MassageLuXe franchise model maintains a mission to provide an unparalleled experience that supports and encourages health, well-being, and quality of life through massage therapy and related services in a comfortable, relaxing, and luxurious environment.
The success of MassageLuXe is linked to its highly successful membership model to encourage ongoing client participation and visits and create steadier sales cycles and recurring revenue. MassageLuXe spas are also bolstered by the demand for massage therapy, as it is now widely recognized by physicians and other health professionals for its positive impact on the body and mind. As a result of this interest, massage therapy is now an $18 billion industry.
