MassageLuXe Opens First Location in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Nation’s Fast-Growing Spa Franchise Targets South Carolina for Major Expansion
Patrick Coble has spent more than 25 years as an electrical contractor. But it wasn’t until he got a massage that the proverbial light bulb went on — indicating he was ready for a new business opportunity with MassageLuXe.
Coble and his wife Robin are the owners of the newest MassageLuXe franchise set to open in August in The Village Shops at 7937 North Kings Hwy in Myrtle Beach’s Grande Dunes community. It’s the first South Carolina location for the brand as it expands into the Palmetto State.
“I was also looking to switch things up in my career. Working 12 to 14 hours a day, not to mention the odd positions I’ve twisted my body in throughout the years, takes a toll. For our 20th wedding anniversary, Robin gave me a gift certificate to get a massage. It was the first time I ever really had a massage, and I absolutely loved it,” says Patrick Coble. “I started getting massages on a regular basis and was impressed with the positive impact it had on my aches and pains.”
When they had trouble booking appointments as customers at existing day spas in Myrtle Beach, they knew MassageLuXe was a great business opportunity and something the community needed.
“The massage industry is changing. A massage is no longer considered an indulgence. It is an affordable and essential part of one’s health, wellness, and self-care,” says Robin Coble, who has a background in skincare and cosmetology. “People are turning away from using artificial means like pain medications to combat aches and pain. Being able to offer massage therapy as part of a healthy self-care plan is important to us.”
Benefits of Massage Therapy:
The mission of MassageLuXe is to deliver the highest quality massage, facial, and waxing services in an environment that is both luxurious and relaxing to all guests.
The Cobles say they look forward to serving the needs of many different groups of people, including two of the largest communities in the Myrtle Beach area.
Seniors – Just over 23% of the Myrtle Beach community is people aged 65 and up. Regular massage offers many benefits to the entire body and helps seniors experience an improved quality of life, increased energy levels, and reduction of aches and pains.
Golfers – There are approximately 3.2 million rounds of golf played annually in the Myrtle Beach area. Regular massage loosens and stretches stiff joints and muscles, which can increase one’s range of motion and flexibility, possibly improving their golf swing.
MassageLuXe of Myrtle Beach is currently offering a special presale offer on the spa’s website for a one-hour massage or LuXe facial for just $39. Customers who sign up for a MassageLuXe monthly membership before the grand opening will receive a discounted rate of $65.
In addition to the location at The Village Shops, the Cobles have plans to expand and open at least five MassageLuXe day spas in South Carolina.
“We looked at several different brands until we found MassageLuXe. We were drawn in by the design and layout of the spas and then sold on the business plan,” adds Patrick Coble. “Even though I have business ownership experience, I will no longer be on my own. I am excited to be working with a team of people guiding me and supporting me who are invested in my success.”
MassageLuXe franchisees are beneficiaries of unmatched support and training from expert industry professionals who help ensure success in target markets. Spa owners also have access to top-of-the-line management software to help coordinate each part of their business.
“We are thrilled to welcome Patrick and Robin Coble to the MassageLuXe franchise family,” says Mark Otter, president and CEO of MassageLuXe. “As we continue to grow, it is more important than ever that we partner with owners who are passionate about our brand and the health and wellness of our customers. We are also excited to introduce MassageLuXe to the great people of Myrtle Beach.”
MassageLuXe is on schedule to open more than 20 new locations this year and could reach as many as 250 new locations over the next four years.
