Nation’s Fast-Growing Spa Franchise Targets South Carolina for Major Expansion

Coble and his wife Robin are the owners of the newest MassageLuXe franchise set to open in August in The Village Shops at 7937 North Kings Hwy in Myrtle Beach’s Grande Dunes community. It’s the first South Carolina location for the brand as it expands into the Palmetto State.

“I was also looking to switch things up in my career. Working 12 to 14 hours a day, not to mention the odd positions I’ve twisted my body in throughout the years, takes a toll. For our 20th wedding anniversary, Robin gave me a gift certificate to get a massage. It was the first time I ever really had a massage, and I absolutely loved it,” says Patrick Coble. “I started getting massages on a regular basis and was impressed with the positive impact it had on my aches and pains.”

When they had trouble booking appointments as customers at existing day spas in Myrtle Beach, they knew MassageLuXe was a great business opportunity and something the community needed.

“The massage industry is changing. A massage is no longer considered an indulgence. It is an affordable and essential part of one’s health, wellness, and self-care,” says Robin Coble, who has a background in skincare and cosmetology. “People are turning away from using artificial means like pain medications to combat aches and pain. Being able to offer massage therapy as part of a healthy self-care plan is important to us.”

Expansion Plans

In addition to the location at The Village Shops, the Cobles have plans to expand and open at least five MassageLuXe day spas in South Carolina.

“We looked at several different brands until we found MassageLuXe. We were drawn in by the design and layout of the spas and then sold on the business plan,” adds Patrick Coble. “Even though I have business ownership experience, I will no longer be on my own. I am excited to be working with a team of people guiding me and supporting me who are invested in my success.”
