Reflexology Massage

Reflexology involves applying pressure to specific points on the hands and feet.  These points are believed to correspond to the organs and systems in your body and when pressure is applied to certain points, it promotes relief from pain, dysfunction and relaxation.  

Reflexology can be a 60 Minute session, a 30 minute add-on to your regular session or incorporated into your regular Swedish or Deep Tissue massage.   

What is Reflexology Massage?

In early years, it is believed that many cultures such as the Chinese, Japanese, Indians and Egyptians worked on the feet and hands to promote good health. Reflexology developed into zone therapy, mapping out the zones that run through the body and feet. Each zone is associated with organs and structures in the body.  It was found that working points in these zones on the feet and hands affect structures and organs in the rest of the body. Charts of the points in the hands and feet can be found worldwide. 

Our trained licensed massage therapists use these charts to access points on the hands and feet, focusing their work on areas that a client would like to see improvement. 

Points are addressed with either stimulating or sedating pressure as needed.

You will be fully and modestly draped with a sheet/blanket during your massage. The therapist will only uncover the part of the body being worked on, re-draping and tucking for client comfort.   A client can request that certain parts of their body not be massaged.
